About Our Hibiscus Tea Manufacturing
Hibiscus is the strongest natural colour tool available in tea blending. A small inclusion turns a pale fruit blend a deep ruby red, which is why it appears in most commercial berry and fruit infusions. Used as a lead ingredient it delivers a pronounced tartness that needs balancing with apple, rosehip, liquorice or a touch of sweet fruit.
Cut size determines both extraction speed and appearance. Coarse petals suit clear pouches and pyramid bags; a fine cut is used where a fast, intense colour release is needed in a standard paper tea bag.
